SUMMARY OF POSITION:

A Trust Specialist should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position provides distinctive service to our clients by providing a combination of general support for specific Trust Advisors and their clients. The support incorporates internal activities through the system coding and preparation of documents related to trust activities, including account setup and daily processing. The position also provides a primary resource of support for all client service needs through consistent availability to the client.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings).
  • Prepare variety of documents for trust transactions ensuring accuracy of all documentation.
  • Open trust accounts. Create a superior client experience for clients by reviewing legal documentation so accounts may be opened in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide general account maintenance. Handle beneficiary disbursements, wire transfers and account transfers, as well as any other account services.
  • Monitor accounts for past due fees, account balances, etc. and review overdraft report on a daily basis.
  • Process Asset Transfers to/from Pinnacle Financial Partners and other institutions and monitor the process until successfully completed.
  • Determine Cost Basis and build Tax Lot positions for new assets.
  • Assist advisors with administrative needs including correspondence, typing, phones, appointments, etc.
  • Meet with clients in absence of Trust Advisor and serve on committees, as requested.
  • Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refers clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.

Description of Experience, Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma some college preferred.
  • 10 years' experience in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge base relative to trust documents.
  • Compliance awareness.
  • Knowledge of federal banking regulations and trust law.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Description of Capabilities, Physical Requirements and Abilities:

  • Mathematical skills; and operation of 10-key calculator.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and associates.
  • The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
