Summary
The Business Applications Administrator supports the implementation, configuration, provisioning, security and maintenance of Contexture's business applications. This role maintains software applications in support of Contexture's business objectives and validates system functionality after changes. Will work within the assigned business applications to support business requirements and other duties as assigned to ensure business systems operate effectively. Participates in testing and installing of new software releases and application system upgrades. Will work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software related to the assigned business applications. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as a member of a team and effectively work with different technical teams to pull together a unified approach to managing our portfolio of business applications.

This position is based in Phoenix Arizona, Denver or Grand Junction Colorado. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:



  • Supports the Sr. Business Application Administrators in the executing both major and minor upgrades to business applications.


  • Communicates and partners with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify application impacts, and recommend solutions.


  • Monitors and troubleshoots capacity, performance and availability issues in the assigned environment(s).


  • Provides primary ownership for identification, documentation and resolution of all application-related problem tickets, including assisting with root cause analysis.


  • Develops high-quality documentation for cross-training.


  • Coordinates and partners with vendors to resolve application functionality changes and resolve problems.


  • Identifies and drives creation of best practices and organizational standards for administrating and securing application(s)


  • Supports a variety of business applications that may include but are not limited to: Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Dynamics, O365 Application Suite, SharePoint, Cloud Coach and Tableau.


  • Troubleshoots business application issues. Resolves issues or escalates to Senior Business Applications Administrator or vendors as appropriate


  • Processes change requests for modifications to the application configuration.


  • Provides timely and accurate status reporting to leadership and users, and escalates effectively when issues arise


  • Collaborates and works with IT Services, technical staff, and vendors to identify and resolve critical system issues and failures to minimize impact to business operations


  • Supports business application implementations, upgrades, and manages licensing


  • Manages security and authentication [Including SSL]


  • Assists with the development of support plans that recognize the customer's priorities, challenges, initiatives, and potential areas for improvement


  • Uses independent judgment and technical expertise to identify, document, and report issues with design, reliability, security or maintenance.


  • Provides proactive technical support and monitoring, as well as clearly communicates procedural and status updates in complex and often critical customer environment


  • Collaborates with other Application Administrators and IT Support on matters related to application utilization


  • Develops new reports and modifies existing reports as needed for assigned business applications


  • Creates and maintains business processes and integration documentation and assists in the development of new processes


  • Assists in training new users on business application use


  • After hours work may be necessary to support after hours deployments, changes, or major incident response


  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Application Administrator performing implementations, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field with equivalent IT experience required. Administration experience with business applications such as Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau, JIRA and/or Salesforce preferred.

Work Environment

The position may require occasional availability for after-hours work, outside of regularly scheduled hours.

The position may require ability to periodically drive to and from clients, conferences and / or events; and / or limited travel.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The person in this position needs to frequently communicate and exchange information and move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a keyboard, monitor, calculator, copy / scanner machine, and printer. Frequently moves office and work-related material weighing up to 10 pounds; Occasionally moves office and work-related material weighing up to 30 pounds.
