Employment Counsel

We are looking for our first Employment Counsel to join our legal team. This role will siteither in our New York City office, or remotely elsewhere in the United States. You willhave an awesome opportunity to use your legal expertise to have an immediate impact

The ideal candidate is a business-minded labor and employment lawyer who hasexperience either in a law firm or in-house setting drafting and reviewing employmentand labor related agreements, developing and implementing employment relatedpolicies and procedures, and providing advice and guidance to in-house HR teams.As our first US Employment focused lawyer, you will have a unique opportunity to chartthe course for a critical Company function.

What your day will look like:

As the Employment Counsel, you will provide legal support to our Axonius teams in theUS, as well as globally as needed. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and reviewing various employment related agreements such as Offerletters, Proprietary Information and Inventions Assignment Agreements (PIIAAs),Consulting Agreements, Separation Agreements and more.
• Counseling Company stakeholders, including members of the executiveleadership team, regarding employment-related decisions and questions.
• Developing and maintaining Company-wide policies, procedures and trainingsregarding various employment related topics.
• Supporting Company corporate transactions from a labor and employmentperspective.
• Keeping current with various federal, state and local laws and regulations toensure that the Company remains compliant and up to date.
• Working with and managing outside counsel as needed.

Reach out if you have/are:

• 5+ years of full-time legal experience as an employment attorney in (i) an in-house legal department, and/or (ii) a law firm.
• Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of employmentrelated agreements, as well as developing employment related policies andprocedures.
• Experience counseling stakeholders regarding critical employment relateddecisions.
• Service-oriented and responsive attitude, strong attention to detail, hard-workingand committed to providing excellent work product
• Ability to work independently and own projects, but with full recognition of areasof limitation and need for support/guidance (honesty and humility required-it ishow we operate and grow at Axonius!).
• Ability to reside and work full-time in the United States.
• JD (or equivalent degree) and current Bar admission (or equivalent registration).
