Job Purpose

This role is responsible for PS&P communications, training activities, and supporting business group with audits/compliance related undertakings ensuring corporate processes and guidelines are understood and followed.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead for audit and compliance area, hold meetings, provide guidance, and set direction to each department to complete annual ELC, HCG, and Risk documents for PSP, compile/edit and submit on time.
  • Respond to SOX compliance and audit requests by closely working with PS&P team.
  • Champion, lead, and propel the HQS project forward by ensuring each department understands the requirements and milestone undertakings are complete.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure processes are followed.
  • Monitor and document compliance activities, advising leadership and management on compliance stance and set future direction.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for PS&P that will ensure clear and effective messaging while also boosting employee engagement. This would be including but not limited to promoting NACC, Corporate Relation, and HR initiatives.
  • Determine communication contents, coordinates with other to obtain information and disseminate.
  • Effectively communicate company philosophy, directions, schedules, and policies to Honda associates.
  • Communicate corporate guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Liaison with HR to facilitate communications.
  • Organize and facilitate new associate onboarding, orientation, and training plans.
  • Facilitate organizational development and succession planning.
  • Partner with OD and evaluate effectiveness of training and recommend development of new programs. Create training initiatives to address various associate development needs as identified throughout the year, collaborating with various PS&P divisions and other business units within AHM.
  • Successfully organize, facilitate, and lead PS&P Racing Spirit development program.
  • Review resource need in each department and recommend re-assignment for better utilization/effectiveness.
  • Partner with TA to strengthen recruiting activities.
  • Work with HR and Finance to ensure the accuracy of PS&P Org/CC data management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of work experience in communications/compliance related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Training experience
  • Ability to leverage cross-departmental contacts to influence support for PS&P objectives
  • Ability to create and environment that allows open communication and feedback from associates
  • Ability to strategically plan for PS&P future, aligning the resource need for each department while maintaining sound relationships
  • Experience with MS Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint

Working Conditions

  • Office desk job
  • Minimal travel will be required
  • Minimal overtime, if any
