communication with the AL Clinical Coordinator and Healthcare Administrator to ensure resident care and services meet the established criteria of the program statement. This position manages
the assisted living staff. This position is further responsible for the activity programming for the facility as well as the dementia care programming. This position will also input all data into the Vision electronic record for the admission, transfer and discharge process.

Both communities are new to the not-for-profit, Christian-based organization Covenant Living Communities and Services. We are hiring two dynamic clinical and operations leaders to direct the daily operations at each of assisted living community located in Maryville. As a leader, the candidate will ensure a high-quality standard of customer experience and excellence in clinical care and delivery. The position will manage direct care staff, the nurse manager of assisted living, the medical director as well as shared service employees. In terms of performance duties, the Director of Assisted Living is entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- 1. Understands the assisted living regulations and program requirements within state of Tennessee.
- 2. Ensures compliance with the use of electronic medical documentation for clinical care, and services.
- 3. Responsible for interviewing, on-boarding, performance management, scheduling in conjunction with the nurse manager. Working in collaboration with executive director for community, human resources, and other local and national support team members.
- 4. Coordinates with the sales team to ensure timely clinical assessments are completed, and new move-ins successfully transition into assisted living community.
- 5. Monitors and is responsible for compliance with budget and financial outcomes, including labor and operational expenses. Responsible for approval of payroll and other related approvals.
- 6. In coordination with the executive director, responds timely and appropriately to all customers or family questions, concerns, and satisfaction surveys. Documents resolutions as appropriate.
- 7. Assures the safety and security of customers through the proper use of equipment, safety devices, and by knowing and appropriate disaster and emergency plans. Ensures privacy and confidentiality are always protected and that all customers' rights are adhered to.
- 8. Participates in ongoing in-service education, including training campus staff on various aspects of assisted living care.
- 9. Manages any risk and safety compliance including occurrence reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis. Works with the executive director and regional clinical team for support. Risk management and safety compliance including occurrence reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- 10. As part of the leadership team, works in collaboration with other shared service leaders within the community, including dining, facilities, business office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with 5 or more years of demonstrated management experience.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State. Must have or willing to obtain an assisted living healthcare administrator licensure within state of Tennessee.
- Knowledge and experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
- The position further requires skill in assessing problems or critical thinking skills, planning, and evaluating solutions in relationship to management of staff and customer needs. It requires understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with people.
- The director of assisted living must be well organized and can work with limited direction, take initiative, and can plan and carry out responsibilities, organizing own schedule and duties to complete responsibilities. The ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment are necessary.
- Must demonstrate good judgment in determining the needs of customers and in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
- Understands and follows all regulatory and corporate policies related to assisted living operations and care delivery.
- Will need to be available during normal business hours Monday - Friday. Some nights or weekends on rotation as necessary to resolve any clinical care or operations episodes.
