We have an opening for a Senior Practice Technologist - Discovery.

The Senior Practice Technologist - Discovery role is an exciting opportunity to help the Manager of Litigation Technology mentor and lead other project managers, provide litigation technology support, database management, manage ediscovery projects, and provide training to legal staff and clients.
Ideal candidates will have spent 8+ years of their career delivering discovery consulting and project management services in one or more of a variety of roles (e.g., at a law firm, advisory firm or with an in house legal team).
In this capacity, the Senior Practice Technologist - Discovery will:
  • Lead and mentor all other project managers;
  • Excellent client relationship skills which include the ability to proactively manage case team expectations, recognize their needs to consistently meet their expectations;
  • Ensure effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through final production;
  • Demonstrated success in the management of multiple simultaneous projects;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Responsible for influencing and integrating new ways of working to improve service delivery;
  • Monitor and remain apprised of case law developments in eDiscovery;
  • Enthusiastic about driving process improvement, collaboration, and innovations as part of a cross-functional team;
  • Innovate: identify the need for additional improvements (software, services, knowledge, or process) both for the Practice Innovation Department, by the Litigation Technology team, and practice groups;
  • Monitor advancements in eDiscovery and litigation technology systems; and
  • Handle additional related projects as necessary.

Proficiencies:

  • Significant experience working on matters with complex ediscovery issues;
  • Significant client (firm attorneys and their clients) interaction experience;
  • Strong familiarity with core discovery workflows (data preservation, collection, and production
  • standards) and common ediscovery rules that impact project planning (ESI Orders, Federal Rules of Civil Procedures, data privacy/cross-border requirements);
  • Experience working with eDiscovery and litigation technologies including Relativity, RelOne,
  • Concordance, Opus2, Disco, AI methodologies, and workflows;
  • Desire to continuously learn and educate others;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Continuous improvement and creativity mindset;
  • Ability to work proactively and solve problems with minimal supervision;
  • Display proficiency in spearheading cross-functional long-term projects, devising innovative approaches, and executing on same; and
  • Experience working with eDiscovery vendors in a collaborative manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 8 years experience of relevant paralegal or litigation support, project management experience may be considered in lieu of degree;
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience with eDiscovery applications, both ESI processing and document review/production;
  • Thorough understanding of the EDRM and typical litigation support workflows and process requirements;
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain calm when working under pressure;
  • A certification in eDiscovery technology (i.e., Relativity, RCA); and
  • Flexibility to be available after hours to assist with eDiscovery issues and deadlines.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $133,400 and a maximum of $175,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
