STAFF SERVICES MANAGER III $9,293.00 - $10,550.00 per Month Final Filing Date: Job Description and Duties
Limited term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Under the general direction of the Human Resources Assistant Deputy Director, the Staff Services Manager (SSM) III functions as the Talent Acquisition (TA) Leadership; TA is comprised of Examination Services, Executive Appointments Unit (EAU) and Cultural Engagement. All areas play a vital role within our hiring process while ensuring CDCR retains our top talent. The SSM III works collaboratively as part of a team to lead the Department's Examination efforts and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating multiple functions, including examinations, executive appointments, recruitment and outreach, succession planning, and career services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Incumbent will champion, lead, and incorporate the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's (CDCR) commitment to building an inclusive and inclusive and culturally diverse workforce attracting and hiring more candidates from diverse communities empowering all employees from a variety of cultural backgrounds, perspectives, and personal experiences, and fostering inclusion and drive collaborative efforts to increase representation at all levels of the Department. The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user- friendly system that provides the applicant access to real- time updates throughout the hiring process. HRTS will require new candidates to set up an account, which allows them to track their application's progress. Through their account portal, candidates will also be able to provide any additional information needed in the hiring process, including setting up interviews as needed.
