Responsibilities

SUMMARY

The KGPCo Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing multiple programs to support the annual marketing goals set at the beginning of the fiscal year. The primary responsibility of a Marketing Specialist will be to drive brand awareness, familiarity, and interest of KGPCo via campaigns, programs, customer events, and industry shows. This position is also responsible for co-marketing programs with KGPCo's key Supplier Partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage projects related to marketing KGPCo products and/or services including developing the strategy, objectives, and tactics to meet the stated goals.
  • Work with key Supplier Partners on the programs determined at the beginning of the calendar year to drive business for KGPCo and the Suppliers. These include industry events and trade shows, customer events, webinars, email blasts, Access Direct, etc.
  • Negotiates use of Supplier's market development funds (MDF); align with Sales teams on funds needed for specific events, golf tournaments, and other sales events.
  • Works with Finance team to invoice Suppliers for pre-approved amount, provide documentation of expenses, ensure final invoicing is completed and ensure accounts receivables is tracked appropriately.
  • Provides Sales with support on local and regional events including shipping required assets, traveling to a show for booth setup/take down and working the show. Create post-show report and upload all leads into CRM.
  • Co-manage the operations and logistics of industry tradeshows and events including developing timelines, budgets, Supplier selection, budget negotiation and staffing. Coordinates all logistics: securing and shipping Supplier's displays, booth setup, tear down and shipping. This role is the point of contact for anything related to the events assigned to them.
  • Update D365 CRM tool with net-new Marketing Leads from any/all programs or events where we secure new leads. Share leads with Suppliers as required.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement on lead qualification.
  • Create Social content with KGPCo suppliers (Milwaukee Tools, VIAVI, Corning, CommScope) for posting to Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook as appropriate and aligned with other supplier activities.
  • Responsible for KGPCo Company Store, working with American Business Solutions to purchase KGPCo branded merchandise for employees and suppliers.

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
