Position Summary:

The Senior Industrial Engineer role is responsible for championing and leading operational excellence and value creation within Cirtec Medical's Rock Hill, South Carolina facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving value streams across the enterprise, be a certified six sigma black belt, and possess recognized lean training.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Participate in identification and planning of department goals and objectives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Lean & Six Sigma processes and tools by providing best practices and training to the organization.
  • Mentor peers in use and implementation of Lean & Six Sigma tools.
  • Develop tools and methodologies to improve site productivity.
  • Evaluate and implement opportunities for variation reduction and waste elimination.
  • Program manage and lead productivity improvement programs throughout the facility.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping events and value stream transformation planning.
  • Assist the Engineering Department in conducting capability studies, TMVs, and Gage R&R studies throughout the facility
  • Oversee the site's gemba walk process, shop floor management practices, and 5S process and other visual factory standards
  • Comply with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching, and feedback methods



Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree (STEM engineering degree preferred) Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing certifications
  • Experience in a regulated industry
  • Strong Microsoft office knowledge
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence and engage others to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English with clear communication of ideas
  • Ability to travel to other sites (approximately 10-15%)



Good to have:



  • Experience in disposable medical device manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with Shingo model deployment or assessments preferred
