Basic Purpose The Senior IT Tech Lead will provide onsite and remote support primarily for Nexeo Plastics Users and Executives in The Woodlands, TX corporate headquarters, but also support key personnel in other Nexeo locations in North America and works as part of the overall Global IT Infrastructure support team inclusive of IT staff in Barcelona and Shanghai. Position Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and oversee the deployment of new IT systems and services for North America.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data in daily work and assignments.
- Manage assigned IT projects and coordinate with other departments to meet business objectives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and users.
- Front-End:Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of IT systems with user interfaces and enhance user experience.
- Cloud:Assist in the implementation and management of cloud-based solutions, including cloud infrastructure, services, and applications.
- Technical Support:Provide technical support to end users on hardware, software, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop and laptop systems, printers, and network connectivity. Perform software installations, updates, and patch management. Respond to service desk tickets, diagnose problems, and provide timely solutions either remotely or in person.
- Microsoft Teams & Zoom Support:Offer advanced support for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, addressing issues related to video conferencing, screen sharing, and user management. Manage Microsoft Teams and Zoom accounts, permissions, and integrations. Ensure smooth operation of virtual meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
- Conference Room Support:Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot conference room equipment, including AV systems, projectors, and video conferencing tools. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper functionality of meeting spaces. Train employees on how to use conferencing tools, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom, effectively in a conference room setting.
- User Training:Develop and deliver training sessions on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools. Create user guides, documentation, and video tutorials for employees to facilitate self-service learning.
- Additional Responsibilities:Collaborate with IT team members on larger projects, including system upgrades and network maintenance. Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements in tools and processes. Assist in asset management and inventory tracking of IT equipment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technical Lead or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
- Experience with project management and IT service management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are a plus.
- Front-End:Knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks, and experience in collaborating with front-end development teams.
- Cloud:Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based services.
- Requires a high level of competency in both written and oral communications skills is strongly desired with ability to work in a team environment.
- A working knowledge of Windows Active Directory is required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
