Position Description

Responsible for the administration of activities related to the scheduling and procurement of purchases to support manufacturing. This position is also responsible for procurement activities including Return to Vendors (RTV) and Latent Defects. Basic supply chain experience, organization, and communication skills are essential. Basic computer skills including Microsoft office applications and some knowledge of ERP systems and controls (IFS, SAP, etc.) are required.

Essential Functions

  • Contacts suppliers through various communications channels (telephone / email) to ensure PO status is known, documented, and changes are addressed including, but not limited to, bringing issues to the attention of Procurement staff.
  • Assists Buyers with monitoring supplier performance and contacts suppliers when delivery or quality issues arise and keeps stakeholders informed of existing or potential problems
  • Monitors system generated requirements including purchase open order and purchase past due reports and purchased requestions.
  • Keep required records and documents filed and updated in an orderly and timely manner.
  • Assist in setting up new suppliers and maintaining and updating current supplier information (i.e. addresses, primary contact information).
  • Maintain the purchasing invoice emails
  • Assist all buyers when requested

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree preferred. In lieu of a 2 or 4-year degree, applicable experience may be substituted.
  • 2 to 5 years of administrative, logistics, planning and/or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field required.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (IFS, SAP, etc.) strongly preferred.
