Overview

This leader assures excellent hospitality for team members and visitors to the Carle Foundation Hospital campus by providing oversight of parking, shuttle, and valet services operations. With a focus on customer service and access, this leader develops long-term plans and strategies for parking, shuttle and valet services. Direct reports include Carle team members serving in these departments. This position "leads from the front" and is highly visible to both team members and patients and guests on the Carle Foundation Hospital campus.

Responsibilities

Manage schedule of pick up/ drop off times and maintenance items.
Maintain accurate data on vehicles and employee lots
Safety: Ensuring that all valet and shuttle staff adhere to company and state safe driving standards
Ensure that all technical systems are operating properly
Work with internal and external partners to ensure all parking systems are functioning
Coordinate with valets and shuttle bus services where necessary
Staff management: Recruiting, training, and assigning work to parking, shuttle and valet services
Ensuring that parking, shuttle and valet services are delivered courteously and efficiently
Performance monitoring: overseeing staff performance
Communication: Reporting issues, suggestions, and solutions to leadership
Manage maintenance of parking system including ensuring cash systems are functioning
Manage employee reserve parking system
Coordination with facilities for parking space and garage maintenance
Will be required to provide minimal physical assistance to patients, including transporting as needed using wheelchairs. May be required to drive departmental courtesy vans which provide service to patients between home address and the medical center. Light housekeeping duties may be assigned. Monitor and manage parking flow of staff and visitors.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $26.19per hour - $43.74per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
