Overview of the Position: Shipping associate is responsible to accurately interpret customer packaging instructions and specifications by pulling stock and packaging products in a timely manner. Will ensure all shipments are packaged properly to prevent damage while maintaining the integrity of the shipment. Ensure compliance with all federal and regulatory shipping and export requirements. Education / Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience with general warehouse equipment forklift, pallet jack, wrap (forklift certification preferred) and distribution experience in areas of shipping, order filling and material control. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
