Here's what you'd do: The client is looking for someone with a background in inspection in a manufacturing/machining area. Plan and perform complex first-piece and AS9102-compliant first-article inspections to determine manufacturing process effectiveness and operator or technician competency. To assess process risk due to variations in set-up, tools used, ambiguous instructions, measuring equipment limitations, human factors, and sub-optimum manufacturing methods. Inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity. Aid in manufacturing and production management to meet artistry standards. Assist all engineering disciplines in supporting process improvement and investigative inspection activities. Help train operators and inspectors on best practices, procedures, and techniques. Assist in problem-solving activities to provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities. Here's what you'll get: Pay: $72k - $95K / year. Hours: 40 hrs/Week (1^stshift). Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years experience in CMM machine or other inspection equipment. Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting. Minimum of 5 years experience in automated and manual measuring and test equipment. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Good demonstrated background with GD&T Blueprints. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and GD&T concepts. Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
