* Base Pay Range: $108,971 - $177,590 per year, based on experience

* Incentives:

o $10,000 Hiring Incentive

o $10,000 Relocation Incentive

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Design, develop, and monitor departmental goals and objectives that align with MU Health Care goals, objectives, strategic plans, mission, vision, and values. Collaborate and confer with other departments, leaders, and physicians to resolve operational issues and improve services and programs that promote communication and maintain excellent customer service to patients, guests, and staff. Represent the department to various institutional divisions/departments as well as the University, and externally to governmental agencies, the media and the community.

Represent and participate in appropriate Hospital committees and/or professional organizations. Participate as the Chair and/or member of the hospital Physical Environment Committee and Emergency Management Committee. Design and develop programs to ensure compliance between hospital personnel, campus personnel, and contractors when work occurs in MU Health Care facilities or on the grounds. Ensure the work is reviewed and approved in advance and is communicated to appropriate parties prior to on-site mobilization. Direct development, management, and implementation of a variety of security, safety, and emergency management programs ensuring regulatory compliance as mandated by local, state, and federal agencies including the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, DNV, CMS, SEMA, FEMA, NRC, EPA, and Homeland Security.

Reduce/eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial loss. Develop accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs, and ensure emergency readiness in the event of a disaster. Advise administration of changing requirements and perform periodic assessment of compliance and readiness. Direct the operation of MU Health Care parking lots, secondary roads, parking garage and drive, and guest parking shuttles in accordance with University regulations. Direct, interview, select, train, evaluate, mentor, and counsel staff. Prepare annual capital requests and operating budgets for departments and monitor revenue, labor, and operating expenses to ensure identified budget targets are met. Develop and implement quality initiatives. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Seven (7) years of operations and management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Healthcare setting experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
