The Early Head Start Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day training and monitoring of Early Head Start home-based and Early Head Start Classrooms in Liberal, KS. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS STAFF SUPERVISION 45% * Conduct regular supervision and meetings with staff. * Complete performance reviews for each staff member supervised. * Provide support and guidance to all assigned staff with their daily job responsibilities. * Conduct frequent monitoring tasks to provide input and feedback accordingly to staff, management, and leadership teams. * Conduct and document classroom observations to ensure alignment with Head Start Standards. * Assist with hiring New Staff within the supervision area. * Review and approve ADP time sheets, and approve time off for assigned staff. * Oversee training of staff. SITE SUPERVISION DUTIES * Ensure compliance with HSPPS, KDHE Licensing Regulations, and CCP/DCF requirements (as needed). * Maintain on site licensing files. * Organize and provide classroom coverage as needed. EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND HEALTH SERVICE 25% * Assist with finding and implementing developmentally appropriate materials/activities to be used with Children. * Oversee the completion of all component areas screenings and follow-ups on each Child in the supervision area. * Work with Specialists to ensure all children and families receive necessary services * Review and Report on data trends for Early Head Start services as part of the School Readiness Team.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP 15% * Be familiar with the resources available in the supervision area and be able to help staff locate services in their communities for their families in the program. * Promote the continued involvement of parents in the child's education. * Oversee the recruitment of income and age-eligible children needed in the region. * Oversee the collaboration efforts with agencies within the supervision area, special education, and mental health specialists. TRAINING 10% * Participate in and conduct trainings or conferences as requested. * Obtain and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid OTHER DUTIES 5% * Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

OR * Active CDA with 3 years of Head Start Experience. Must be willing to work towards the completion of bachelor's degree. Preferred * Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education * Experience with Head Start AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY: The Early Head Start Supervisor is delegated full authority necessary for the effective performance of all assigned duties and responsibilities subject to the restrictions, requirements, and terms of the agency's policies and procedures, applicable local/state/federal laws, and the dictates of sound business judgment, prudence, and ethical conduct. The Early Head Start Supervisor is fully accountable to the HS Assistant Director of Home and Family Services or their performance, which will be measured against the position description and established performance goals.
