Position summary:
The Finance Technician will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance of the master vendor file and the processing of transactions for the company and all subsidiaries maintained in the region.

Pay Range: Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.
Level I: $18.13 - $27.50 per hour
Level II: $20.34 - $30.82 per hour
Senior: $22.81 - $34.38 per hour

Reporting Relationship: Finance Supervisor

Location: Our corporate headquarters located in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Essential Functions:
* Review and process invoices, check requests and resolve invoice discrepancies.
* Assist other accounts payable department members with accounts payable responsibilities during their absences.
* Obtain a strong understanding of the automated accounting systems in PeopleSoft and FileNet.
* Maintain an orderly, accurate and secure filing system for applicable company records.
* Promptly provide routine information to vendors and employees as requested.
* Work with the systems department to update existing vendor information, such as address, location address, remit to address, ACH information, etc. as required.
* Maintain and verify W-9 information for new and existing vendors.
* Maintain documentation and perform job duties in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and scan all documentation including but not limited to invoices and credit card statements for all subsidiaries processed.
* Review, process, and reconcile credit card information and assist employees with expense reports.
* Assist in the implementation of PeopleSoft upgrades, conversions, and new company set-up when required.
* Other duties as assigned.

What is Required:
Level I:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable processing or other relevant experience required.
Level II:
* Associates Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable processing or other relevant experience required.
Senior:
* Associates Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable processing or other relevant experience required.

What is Desired:
* Working knowledge of business and accounting procedures and methods, including accounting systems.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
* Knowledge of accounts payable rules, regulations, processing procedures, record keeping and control systems.
* Ability to perform accounting duties of average difficulty.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business information.
* Ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
