Hearth and Home Technologies is the world's largest manufacturer of hearth products (gas, electric and wood burning fireplaces, as well as Stoves) with a long history of exceptional products and customer satisfaction.
This HR Generalist position is onsite in Lake City, MN reporting to the Human Resources Manager.
A successful Human Resource Generalist will impact the business by:
  • Providing consultation and direction to members and leadership on member relations, including development, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Influencing continuous improvement of HR systems and processes that add value
  • Identifying, defining, and investigating areas of business need, then develop, analyze, and partner with Leadership to implement solutions
  • Developing and facilitating training and orientation
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition to fill direct and indirect positions

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues
  • Background in FMLA, ADA and other employment laws
  • Ability to build and manage relationships in a matrix management structure and with employees, leaders, and HR functional owners
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, willingness to be flexible and adaptable, strong customer focus and collaboration, continuous improvement and analytical proficiency
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills with ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • HR information systems (ADP, Kronos, Jobvite)
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources field or relatedcombination of equivalent education and experience
  • 3 + years' experience in Human Resources
Preferred Requirements
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
  • Spanish Bilingual
