Job Description Summary: Spira Care was designed with our patients at the center of their Care Teams. Our Care Teams are made up of professionals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and focus areas who are curious, empathetic, and collaborative. Spira Care is looking to welcome people on our team who are excited about innovating in primary care and are passionate about helping people achieve their health goals. Job Description:
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic exam using professional judgement and discretion based on provider orders. Evaluates radiographs for technical image quality, produces additional images as needed to provide appropriate results.
  • Confirms patient identification, pregnancy status and uses appropriate shielding devices or other accessory equipment as needed.
  • Operates imaging equipment/devices, performs accurate member positioning and education, and calculates correct exposure factors.
  • Documents member data, procedures, and relevant information as determined by practice standards.
  • Works with the care team to meet quality performance targets and metrics established for the providers and care center.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • High levels of customer service as members navigate through the care center.
  • Operates successfully in an ambiguous environment that requires a high degree of adaptability, agility and reliability.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all regulated information in compliance with state and federal laws; reads, understands and follows medical policy and all corporate, divisional and departmental policies and procedures. Including but not limited to: Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personal Identifiable Identification (PII).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • One year work experience performing radiology imaging.
  • Radiologic Technologist (LRT) in Kansas.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) Certification.
  • Maintain licensures and certifications throughout employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to define problems (technical and clinical), collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and action plans.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Ability to work with a variety of member tools/applications used to access and document health information and support member interactions through various communication channels (phone, in-person, chat, email, etc.).

Preferred Requirements:

  • AASRT(R) or BS in Radiologic Sciences.
  • Two or more years of work experience performing radiology imaging.
  • Documentation in Athena EHR.
  • Understanding of Sectra radiology system.
