Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an R&D Chemist in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include knowledge of various areas which may include laboratory instrumentation, process monitors, radwaste operations, or effluents. The R&D Chemist will work under minimum supervision and provide technical work in primarily wet lab chemistry. May prepare technical reports based on the interpretation of analyzed data.

*Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to identify and resolve chemistry-related problems, recommend solutions, and track resolution progress.
* Working in conjunction with engineers and other experts to safely design, perform and report wet lab chemistry tests.
*Accumulate, analyze, interpret, and report data to management to provide a technical assessment of current operational status.
*Ability to coordinate and collaborate in English with international colleagues in Germany and France.
*Maintain and operate the R & D Lab (two separate rooms) at Richland, WA site.
* Maintaining a neat and organized laboratory and following Safety Procedures / Good Lab Practices to ensure the safe generation of high quality and reliable data.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $107,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
