Dir, Community Advancement

Primary Purpose of Job

Strategic Leader for ASB's Community Advancement initiatives, cultivates and nurtures strong internal and external partnerships, and develops opportunities for ASB to grow and maximize its community impact.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Develops and refines strategic community focus with the goal of maximizing ASB's community impact.
• Focuses on how to make deep, meaningful impact in ASB focus areas by building collaborations, both internally and externally.
• Builds and deepens relationships with community partners to deliver and grow ASB's Community Advancement strategy.
• Promotes ASB's reputation and brand by serving as an ambassador in representing ASB in the community.
• Engages teammates in ASB's community efforts and connects them to external philanthropic opportunities.
• Collaborates with ASB's Communications team to create inspiring and meaningful opportunities to share ASB's Community Advancement efforts across multimedia channels.
• Manages ASB's Community Advancement budget and accurately tracks and reports charitable giving, volunteer hours, and other key metrics.

Experience Required

Minimum ten (10) years of experience:

• Philanthropy, Community Relations, Government Relations, Communications, Public Relations, or Event Planning.
• Supervisory/management experience.

Required Skills or Training

• Demonstrated success in developing relationships with community and government stakeholders.
• Able to serve as a spokesperson and represent ASB at various community outreach events and activities or media opportunities.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and effectively Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements

• Valid US driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.
