Overview

The Senior Marketing Manager has oversight and accountability for the marketing and procurement activities for one or more vertical business lines, manages multiple staff, executes vertical strategy, and strategically oversees the development of proposals and marketing deliverables. Establishes collaborative and trusted relationships with development team members to elevate strategic partnerships and proactively address priorities and requests. Leverages high level of business acumen to generate strategic content for deliverables and communications that align strategic plan with company marketing strategies. Works independently and manages a team of individual contributors and/or people managers. Provides strategic leadership for assigned verticals. Collaborates across company departments.



Responsibilities

Core Job Tasks:

    Collaborate with development leadership to develop and coordinate account-based marketing plans for top focus projects, clients, and strategic partners through drive-to-win enthusiasm throughout the strategic sales flow process - early presell action plans, brainstorming sessions, Red Team Reviews, etc.
  • Drive development and regular updates of strategic sales efforts to ensure best-in-class delivery-specific content
  • Ensure assigned sales and marketing deliverables are completed at the highest quality and on time.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and support team members in their roles.
  • Contribute to internal training program for marketing team members
  • Active participant and voice in go no/go and strategy development sessions.
  • Strategic partner to development leadership and companywide leadership to ensure high level of collaboration and partnership.
  • Ensure all external content and client deliverables align with Gilbane's brand standards and messaging guidelines.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality sales deliverables that are tailored to specific client requirements, including qualifications, proposals, and presentations. Lead the development of strategic sales deliverables, as needed.
  • Collaborate with development leadership to develop and coordinate account-based marketing plans for top focus projects, clients, and strategic partners
  • Provide strategic direction, content development, and creative/technical writing for strategic pursuits.
  • Participate in capture planning for key pursuits, including the development of win themes, strategies, teaming, and execution/performance strategies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and effectively managing direct reports, including workload, coaching for career development, and adherence to HR policies and protocols.
  • Effective leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality external content and client deliverables, ensuring clear communication, mutual support, and a cohesive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effectively manage multiple deliverables concurrently and has a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Further expand industry, trade, and community organization involvement through board and/or committee leadership.
  • Stay abreast of new trends and tools and share insights and analytics with the broader team.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with budget expectations.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in the marketing and/or AEC industry
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical Skills: Advanced project management skills, advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, PPT, Unanet, Dealpath

Professional Development: Advanced communication skills, delegation, writing, critical thinking, advanced problem-solving skills

Business Acumen: Mastery of Gilbane services and industry knowledge/business acumen

People Management: Strong understanding of HR Lifecycle, Career Development and Coaching, People Skills, ability to effectively manage complex personnel situations and team dynamics

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Providence, RI this ranges from $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
