Pay G17

Reports To: Global Account Director & North America Account Director

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000

Job Summary

An Outstanding Global Events & Hospitality Director at Restaurant Associates offers a chance to craft and coordinate a world-class hospitality program for Bloomberg. Based in New York, NY, you will lead all aspects of a distributed team and implement a flawless service model across multiple regions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for all Event & Hospitality Catering for Bloomberg globally.
  • Design, develop, and bring to life the Bloomberg Hospitality & Event experiences through a detailed curated Pantry & Hospitality model (Playbook).
  • Lead the global Bloomberg Event & Hospitality catering team to deliver the Event & Hospitality Catering strategy.
  • Contribute actively to the senior leadership team on the Global Bloomberg Account, ensuring the successful implementation of the account strategy and important metrics.
  • Maintain robust governance to identify and manage risk within the diverse portfolio of internal Compass and external 3rd party Event & Hospitality Catering providers.
  • Build outstanding relationships with Compass & main client teams, as well as multiple clients within the region.
  • Lead the global Event & Hospitality Catering program of continuous improvement across the portfolio.
  • Implement and sustain the Event & Hospitality Catering standards and client engagement principles.
  • Ensure the qualitative and quantitative framework required for essential regional and global reporting is received in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage all data related to Event & Hospitality Catering operations, including critical metrics for finance, operations, and health, safety, and environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the client relationship for Event & Hospitality Catering across all regions.
  • Establish and maintain regional and country client relationships, becoming a trusted extension of the client's team.
  • Build 3rd party supplier partner networks within appropriate countries.
  • Supervise all aspects of the Event & Hospitality Catering services to ensure compliance and necessary improvements.
  • Provide consultation to improve service quality and help clients minimize risk and reduce costs.
  • Use data points, technology, industry insight, and guest feedback to consistently improve service offerings.
  • Support agreed client and Compass reporting, preparing ad hoc analyses and presentations.
  • Drive operational excellence programs within the Event & Hospitality Catering setup.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and secure workplace.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years' experience in Hospitality/Food Service/Event Service industries.
  • Experience managing business or relationships across multiple geographies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a wide variety of cultures.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments.
