Role Overview:

As a Risk Control Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing the goals and objectives of the Risk Control department. This experienced professional position allows you to work independently under limited supervision, applying working-level knowledge of risk control concepts to resolve complex issues and perform varied assignments.

You will collaborate closely with multiple departments, support client services programs, and guide underwriting reviews to ensure cohesive and effective strategies that drive profitable growth. In this role, you will be a key representative of the company's brand and values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance, and Stability.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate risk control services and educate clients on service programs for assigned accounts.
  • Strategically use loss data and analytics tools to guide risk management efforts.
  • Prepare stewardship materials and present to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide risk control reviews and recommendations to underwriting teams.
  • Enhance client engagement and utilization of existing risk management resources.
  • Attend industry conferences as an exhibitor and demonstrate thought leadership through public speaking and written contributions.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by supervisors or executive management.


Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in safety management or related fields preferred.


Required Qualifications:



  • 5-10 years of experience in risk control or safety management, with at least 3-7 years specific to insurance industry risk control for Workers' Compensation, Auto Liability, and General Liability
  • Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation insurance, OSHA regulations, and safety/risk control management techniques.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online presentation tools like Microsoft Teams or Webex.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Industry designations such as ARM, ARM-P, CRM, or CSP.
  • Strong oral, written, and communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel overnight to client locations and attend conferences.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
