Permit Expeditor Are you ready for the next level of advancement in your career? Hillpointe Construction is one of the largest multifamily developers in the United States, and we seek a motivated, self-starter on our compliance team to grow with us. The permit expeditor proactively interacts with various governmental agencies, engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure permit applications contain every required item to avoid costly delays in the review process. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with permit coordination, excellent research skills, and attention to detail. Duties & Responsibilities * Manage and monitor the complete permitting process through various municipalities, preventing procedural delays and organizing detailed permit applications.
* Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation for submission.
* Secure the timely preparation and submission of building permits through various municipalities based on construction deadlines.
* Coordinate within the organization to ensure compliance with permit requirements and timely response to review comments.
* Document and process all plan revisions.
* Track permit status through the approval process and maintain reports daily.
* Maintain accurate records of permit activity and respond to inquiries regarding permit status.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all permit-related inquiries.
* Prepare and submit timely check requests, permit payments, and municipality fees.
* Scan all approved permitting information.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal permit regulations, keep abreast of permit regulation changes, and advise management of potential impacts.
* Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with municipality departments and internal stakeholders.
* Work closely with engineers and project managers to prepare technical documents and organize and track complex tasks across multidisciplinary teams as part of a rapidly expanding company.
* Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, civil engineering, architecture, planning, or a related field is preferred.
* 1-2 years of progressively responsible permitting, planning, or land development experience.
* Spanish language capabilities (oral and written) are a plus.
* Experience working on cross-functional project teams.
* Highly organized and paying attention to detail.
* Experienced in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
* Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Superb written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in both team and self-managed environments.
* Flexibility to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities daily.
* Able to complete assignments on strict deadlines and complete follow-through work with time-sensitive information.
* Travel may be required
