About the Opportunity

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading a project team (or teams) focused on organizational initiatives and leading all aspects of assigned projects. This includes, but is not limited to, project work plan development and management, project plan reporting, issue tracking, scope development and management, project cost resource and time management, and project communications. Collaborates with a variety of contacts from unique operational areas/departments to ensure successful completion of projects, and when appropriate and assigned, manages assigned employees.

What You'll Do



  • Organize and coordinate RNI's key projects across internal departments and between external partners across development, marketing/communications, technology /commercialization, and other partners.
  • Partner with senior executives to define project approach and ensure overall project plan will achieve objectives.
  • Oversees and monitors progress of RNI team members who are implementing project plans and providing support for various initiatives.
  • Work closely with WVUH, HSC, WVU, and RNI leadership to proactively identify and resolve issues that may adversely impact projects.
  • Comprehend internal and external drivers that influence effective operation, management, and execution of HSC resourcing, planning, programming, and budget execution processes.
  • Present analysis and recommendation to decision makers in a succinct and organized manner, including identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to evaluate operational effectiveness.
  • Provide proper support for all external collaborative and contracted partners as well as RNI partners.
  • Develops executive presentations for stakeholder communications on strategic initiatives progress, risks and budget results. Review and analyze operational reports, summarize findings.
  • Track and report project milestones and provide status reports in the selected format at the assigned interval.
  • Determines most efficient and cost-effective means for gathering and analyzing data needed to support research and development goals and achieve growth through the accomplishment of long-range goals and objectives.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and manage internal and external relationships to ensure commitments are met, deadlines are realized, and expectations are managed appropriately. May manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Monitors compliance and ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and manage team when assigned.
  • Oversee the training and quality standards of project management team.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, both verbally and in written communications.

Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the following:

    • Project, administrative management and/or a fast-paced environment in a medical center or facility.


  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:



  • Proven experience as project manager and use of project management methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, lean, scrum)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to assist with the development of analyses of results
  • Proven ability to document and refine complex processes to project plans
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to manage complex stakeholder groups
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, leadership and time management skills
  • Proficient in project management software (i.e. Microsoft Project, Basecamp, Workzone, Trello)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Project Management Certification
  • Five years of experience in Project Management
