This is a tenure track, 10-month faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Speech-Language Pathology Department is delivered at the Stony Brook University Southampton location. The successful candidate will engage in collaborative interdisciplinary scholarship, teaching, and service activities. This role requires demonstrated commitment, interest, and competency in working with students from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and academic backgrounds. Stony Brook University is a State University of New York (SUNY) flagship and is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU). The School of Health Professions' Department of Speech-Language Pathology offers a M.S. degree, and the program is in Candidacy by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. The department offers a dynamic learning experience by fostering interdisciplinary and professional collaborative research. It builds strong relationships with community programs and provides opportunities for scholarly activities both within the department and the broader healthcare community. The School of Health Professions and the Department of Speech-Language Pathology offer faculty opportunities for mentorship and growth as well as a flexible work schedule. The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is one of six professional degree granting programs in the School of Health Professions.
