About Tolmar Validation

The Validation department is responsible for verifying that the equipment, instrumentation, computerized systems, facilities and utilities are installed, operate and perform to their intended use according to established guidelines, requirements and specifications. Validation functions collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure that the design supports the intended use, and the systems continue to operate in a validated state throughout their lifecycle.

Proposed Work Description

The intern will be supporting the Validation teams, specific activities could include, but are not limited to:



  • Basic data entry and analysis in excel to develop and track metrics or support the validation execution schedule.
  • Assisting in commissioning, qualification, and validation activities of ongoing projects.
  • Developing documentation such as protocols and reports for activities such as system classification and impact assessments, requalifications and/or periodic reviews.
  • Identifying potential opportunities for improvement or leaner practices within current practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective organization and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule, with some flexibility.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.

Education & Experience



  • Majoring in an engineering discipline preferred, a life science or computer systems discipline will also be accepted.


Working Conditions



  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment but could include clean room or production floor work.
  • Dress is casual but business or business-casual dress may be required on occasion.


Compensation and Benefits



  • Base rate is $19.00 per hour
  • Benefits include medical insurance and 401k participation


Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
