We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate in the Rolling department at our Richburg, SC facility. As a manufacturing associate, you will play a valuable role where you will be a key component of operation in the continuous mill. The Rolling department is responsible for taking material from a billet and rolling it down into bar or coil form starting with receiving, bar mill, roller, inspector, finishing, and main pulpit.

A successful candidate should demonstrate leadership, communication, an eagerness to learn, time management, commitment to teamwork, and attention to detail.

Additional Responsibilities:



  • Identify and inspect material coming into the department
  • Maintain logs and records
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, and charts
  • Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes
  • Operate mill equipment, roll shop equipment, and abrasive saw
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up and running equipment

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience


Skills:



  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to read and understand instructions
  • Use of various tools ranging from common hand and power tools, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, and work in hot conditions
