The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division provides these services to people in need. JOB SUMMARY The Divisional Assistant Senior Director of Advancement Services works closely with the Divisional Senior Director of Advancement Services to ensure the efficient operations of advancement services across the division. This individual focuses on data analysis, donor management, and process improvement to support the division's fundraising efforts and enhance donor relations. The Assistant Senior Director oversees the implementation of advancement initiatives, supports cross-departmental collaboration, and assists in mentoring the advancement services team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting donor data to guide divisional strategies and provide insights to the Senior Director for decision-making.
- Monitor and maintain performance metrics, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Generate detailed and actionable income and impact reports to support fundraising campaigns and decision-making.
- Support the integration and optimization of donor data within advancement services to enhance engagement strategies.
- Assist with the creation of donor profiles using wealth screening and philanthropic data to support donor cultivation efforts.
- Work closely with the Donor Relations team to ensure proper donor recognition and care.
- Collaborate with the finance team to assist in reconciling donor activity and financial records.
- Support the implementation of best practices in donor management under the guidance of the Senior Director.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational questions.
- Act as a representative of The Salvation Army in all external and internal interactions related this position, exemplifying the organization's mission, values, and commitment to serving the community.
DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES Collaboration, Continuous Improvement, and Contract Management
- Support the execution of cross-functional initiatives to improve business processes and ensure data integrity.
- Serve as a liaison between Advancement Services and other departments to ensure alignment of goals.
- Assist in developing and implementing training models to build expertise across department.
- Review vendor deliverables, providing feedback to ensure adherence to organizational standards and contract terms.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide mentorship and professional development to divisional advancement services personnel to build a high performance, mission focused team.
- Plan, direct, and supervise assigned staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, and make recommendations regarding compensation, hiring and termination decisions, in alignment with organizational policies and standards.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategy, business intelligence, or financial analysis. Proven ability to analyze complex data and implement improvement strategies.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Required Licenses: Valid state driver's license

Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to make strategic, data informed decisions to influence fundraising outcomes and donor relations.
- Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with Constituent Relationship Management (such as Salesforce) and reporting and analytics software (such as Tableau).
- A willingness to promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
