THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) in Frackville is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer 1 to join our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will act as the primary point of contact for all PREA-related matters within the institution, overseeing accurate reporting, tracking, data collection, and timely notifications to support both federal requirements and the DOC's internal PREA plan. You will coordinate meetings for the facility's sexual abuse incident review committee and assist in the preparation of confidential reports. You will support the PREA compliance manager in preparing monthly and annual reports for submission to the central office and assist in developing and maintaining the necessary documentation for PREA audits and mock audits. Additionally, you will coordinate service provider access to inmates or the institution and ensure proper documentation of contact with victim advocates. Finally, you will communicate and act as a liaison with the security office, medical and mental health departments, unit teams, and other facility personnel to request and distribute required documentation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
