DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Director of Risk Management, also referred to as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), is responsible for the overall leadership, vision, and direction of the Commonwealth's Enterprise Risk Management Office. This role involves identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating risks across all agencies under the Governor's jurisdiction, ensuring alignment with the Commonwealth's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The CRO reports to the Deputy Secretary for Comptroller Operations and will work closely with the Office of the Budget executive staff, Commonwealth Audit & Risk Management Committee, Governor's Office senior staff, agency executive management, and various departments to foster a collaborative focus on risk awareness and incorporation of ERM principles and practices into the operations and organizational culture. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, based upon operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or closely related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certificate of Internal Audit (CIA), or equivalent. Minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership role.

- You must possess a strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- You must have experience managing multiple, complex, and/or high-priority projects and initiatives in a fast- paced dynamic environment.
- You must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- You must demonstrate experience effectively influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization to integrate risk management practices into business processes and decision-making.
- You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience applying data and analytics to measure, monitor, and proactively identify risks for data driven decision making.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
