Job Description

Mail Room Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes all in-coming and out-going mail and packages for our headquarters; responsible for regulation of postage meters; supervises incoming and outgoing packages from parcel and courier services
  • Responsible for monitoring and ordering stock and supplies at headquarters; maintains ledger for all departmental supplies ordered and received; maintains inventory log of departmental supplies
  • Interacts with paper, product, and supplies vendors, maintaining records of order status and service calls
  • Daily setup of conference rooms for meetings and special events which includes breaking down and setting up of boardroom and conferencing events
  • Responsible for coffee preparation and replenishing of supplies for the kitchen and pantry areas; Must be able to learn and monitor beverage equipment operations, order supplies and request device service as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to respond promptly, thoughtfully and effectively to changing workenvironments, changing priorities and new situations.
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service to external and internal operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with peers, management and other departments in a professional manner.
  • Must be computer proficient (MS Office Suite, UPS-online, FedEx online).
  • Excellent organizational skills in order to efficiently expedite multi-faceted work load with high degree of accuracy.
  • Extensive trouble-shooting and problem solving experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
  • Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
  • Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
  • Ability to lift 30-40 pounds is required.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the company's sole discretion.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma and 1 to 2 years prior applicable mailroom experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Operating postage machines

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $14.6 and $23.29. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
