Job Summary
Provide generalist support to the staff of the Office of People and Culture in a variety of functions including talent acquisition, benefits, HR systems, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

Talent Acquisition - 45%

  1. Assist with full life cycle recruiting for all staff positions including job posting, interviewing, assessment and hiring manager consultation.
  2. Act as a liaison with Academic Affairs for faculty hiring.
  3. Assist with managing of the Applicant Tracking System including reporting, troubleshooting and system enhancements.

Administrative Support - 35%

  1. Coordinates daily operations of the department.
  2. Monitors the people and culture email inbox. Coordinates with OPC team members to address situations in a timely manner.
  3. Coordinates pre-employment paperwork for faculty and staff.
  4. Manages the file room and maintains accurate organization of employee records.
  5. Monitors the main phone line for the department.
  6. Monitors and orders supplies for the department.

Human Resources Tasks and Support - 20%

  1. Assist with onboarding and pre-boarding processes and projects.
  2. Assist with training and development processes and projects.
  3. Assist with benefits administration processes and projects.
  4. Assists with training and development events and tasks.
  5. Serves as the backup for the onboarding program.

  • Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Requires working knowledge of Google Suite. Knowledge of Zoom is preferred.
Experience

This position requires no previous expereince.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Travel: This position requires no travel.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work: Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
