OB/GYN generalist for clinic and hospital care

4-day work week (one OR day with block time)

Average 18-20 office patients per day

About the practice:

Join an exciting, rapidly growing practice in beautiful North Carolina! We offer a full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecologic services. Providers include 2 OB/GYNs, 7 full-time CNMs and an office-based PA. One of our current physicians is relocating for family reasons. Immediate need for replacement physician with plan of a second position opening in 1 year.

You will have a full complement of patients from day one and the opportunity to work with experienced doctors and midwives collaborating to provide exceptional care for women. We provide high-quality care through all stages of life in a patient-centered, supportive environment. Here is a chance to make a difference in your community.

Call is currently 1:4. Call shifts are second call only with first call CNMs doing the majority of labor management and births.

Work a 4-day work week with 1 OR day and 3 office days. Docs operate together on all major surgeries providing an excellent opportunity to learn or simply have an experienced knowledgeable assistant. Full laparoscopy equipment and da Vinci robot available in ORs.

We are moving into a newly renovated office space designed for OB/GYN and MFM practice. Planned date of the move is fall 2025.

Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) hospital is in Burlington, North Carolina. Enjoy four seasons with clear blue skies and mild winters and the time off work to enjoy them. We are 2.5 hours from the beach and 2 hours from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and 2 renowned ski areas. With 2 airports less than 45 minutes away, you'll have multiple access points to travel using your generous CME budget.

About the hospital:

Our hospital is part of the Cone Health system. ARMC is a community hospital with a level 2 nursery. We have immediate access to a level 3 nursery 18 miles away within our hospital system. In addition, Duke and UNC are both less than 40 minutes away. We have OR block times and have full laparoscopy available with 3 dedicated da Vinci robot rooms. Collegial environment in L&D, postpartum, and OR. Cooperative, non-competitive working relationship with other local OB/GYN practice.

Education/Training: Utilizes literature and attends regional and national meetings to remain current and professionally competent. Participates inpatient, staff, and professional education programs. Participates in educational and research programs including didactic material , formal teaching conferences, clinical teaching, staff education conferences, and clinical research.

Liaison: Participates in liaison duties with the other professional staff, and in development of patient referral sources. Keeps referring physicians informed of care and outcomes.

Patient Care; Provides direct and indirect patient care to the assigned areas. Provides medical supervision of the interdisciplinary team and supervises residents and medical students in all aspects of their assigned duties. Participates in clinical research projects of interest. Provides accurate and timely documentation and sign off of care to establish up-to-date medical records for billing purposes.

Shares specifically designated on-call responsibilities with other physician members of the assigned areas.

EDUCATION:
Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board. Also medical degrees from other countries that are equivalent to the United States MD or DO degrees from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Completed appropriate residency training (and fellowship training as required).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
Required: Practitioner must have completed the number of years in a residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and met all other requirements for eligibility to receive board certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary medical specialty (or subspecialty) for which the Practitioner is applying for Clinical Privileges. If five (5) or more years have elapsed since the Practitioner completed such residency program, the Practitioner currently must have board-certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in such specialty (or subspecialty).
Fully licensed to practice Medicine in the state of NC.
Meets requirements of the Moses Cone Health System Medical Staff by-laws and obtains the appropriate level of medical staff privileges.
The Practitioner must have a current, and valid DEA registration number, with no involuntary limitations on prescriptive authority (schedule limitations) resulting from DEA disciplinary actions.
Each Practitioner shall maintain in force professional liability insurance as determined by the Moses Cone Health System Medical Executive Committee and Board of Trustees; currently $1 million each incident and each occurrence, and $3 million aggregate. The Practitioner must provide proof of professional liability insurance coverage, with a current certificate of insurance or a current copy of the policy. The professional liability insurance coverage shall be with a company approved by the North Carolina Insurance Commission and otherwise satisfactory to the Board of Trustees.
