Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Franchise Marketing in the Eye Care Industry to lead and drive strategic initiatives for our product portfolios, brand development, and pipeline strategy at Sight Sciences. This role requires a visionary leader who can oversee portfolio management, guide the development of strategic brand initiatives, shape pipeline strategies, and lead impactful marketing campaigns. The Director will also provide cross-functional leadership across teams to ensure the seamless execution of strategic marketing goals. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy for the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to optimize product positioning and value proposition
- Collaborate with product development and sales teams to define the portfolio roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on business and market opportunity
- Strategic planning and revenue forecast development over 5 year+ time horizon
- Drive the creation and execution of strategic brand plans for the product portfolio, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints
- Work with a broader team to drive brand positioning and messaging efforts, ensuring that all brand assets, communication strategies, and visual identities are aligned with the overall company vision
- Ensure a deep understanding of the target audience and industry trends to effectively communicate the brand story and value proposition
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for product pipeline advancement, collaborating with R&D and product teams
- Oversee the planning and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring timely and successful introduction to market
- Maintain a forward-looking pipeline strategy, identifying and responding to opportunities for portfolio expansion or repositioning based on market shifts
- Lead the ideation and development of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, print, events, etc.)
- Work closely with creative teams, agencies, and vendors to develop campaign materials, ensuring messaging and content are aligned with brand strategy
- Measure campaign effectiveness and leverage performance data to refine future strategies
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, product, R&D, and other functions to align marketing strategies with business goals
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the upstream marketing team, fostering an environment of collaboration, creativity, and excellence
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions
- Leverage data and analytics to provide insights into customer needs and behaviors, adjusting strategies accordingly
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred
- Experience in Eye Care (Ophthalmology/Optometry) preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in upstream marketing or a strategic marketing leadership role
- Proven experience in managing large product portfolios and brand strategies
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, from development through go-to-market execution
- Expertise in pipeline strategy and new product introduction
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to mentor and develop talent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
