Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join us as a Product Tax Program Manager!


About the role

As the Product Tax Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing product tax operations functions to fulfill Symetra's regulatory responsibilities and meet the requirements of Symetra policy.

What you will do



  • Focusing on customer and partner tax reporting, you will provide support across divisions, including product development and Service and Operations departments.
  • You'll participate in the testing and development of tax related functionality in multiple administrative systems and provide support for new product launches through the development of tax operational requirements and test case development.
  • You'll participate in and lead the user acceptance testing efforts, including tax reporting, withholding, other tax related calculations, and product tax compliance and qualification.
  • You'll work to ensure divisions meet reporting and administration duties while supporting regulatory implementation efforts.
  • You'll ensure divisions are set up for success in the product tax space while guaranteeing the divisions have necessary resources and prioritization to complete product tax work and support training, and provide guidance to internal teams on tax matters.
  • Own and support multiple large-scale projects while maintaining close communication and collaboration with key departments and various partners throughout the company.

Compensation

Salary Range: $93,900- $156,600 annually plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.


Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of tax administration work experience.
  • Operational, Product, and Tax knowledge preferred.
  • Life & Retirement product knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new systems and processes in a timely manner.
