Job Summary
Adjunct faculty position teaching in didactic or clinical courses working with graduate students in the nurse-midwifery program. Course assignments would be dependent on the current needs of the program.


Responsibilities

  • Teaching in fully online, asynchronous courses.
  • Evaluate courses taught according to ACME criteria and current best practices. Participate in keeping course content updated.
  • If participating in intensives, faculty responsibilities will include teaching nurse-midwifery hands-on skills, lecturing, participating in clinical
    simulations, evaluating performance exams, and facilitating panel discussions.
  • Attend regular faculty meetings.
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance diversity and inclusive excellence in the program and midwifery.

Experience

Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new advanced practice nursing employees would be an asset.

Education

Required: Master's Degree in Nursing, Doctorate Preferred
Current Minnesota RN and APRN Licensure or eligibility

Additional Information

Compensation: This position pays $1,250 per load credit and compensation is based on student enrollment. Load will vary based on the needs of the department.

Position begins August 1, 2025. Candidate must be legally permitted to work in the US.
