Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons: Medicine: Medicine - Immunology Location 02 Open Date Sep 12, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade $135,000 - $250,000 Description Columbia University's Department of Medicine and the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology (CCTI) invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to participate in clinical research and management of adult patients with genetically driven immunological dysfunction and lead an independent research program related to inborn and/or acquired errors of immunity. Their laboratory bench research will be based in the collaborative environment of the CCTI, where they will contribute to a broad-based program in basic and applied Human Immunology. The physician/scientist will have a clinical appointment in the relevant Division of Medicine, with a translational role in Clinical Immunology/Genetics and Laboratory Science. Candidates should have strong research training and, commensurate with rank, leadership experience in biomedical research, as well as a clinical background in Genetics, Immunology, and/or Autoimmunity/Autoinflammation. Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to identify genetic variants that cause immune dysfunction and advanced expertise in genetic and bioinformatic analysis. Candidates should have a documented record of scholarly achievement. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications MD or MD/PhD in Biomedical Sciences and/or related fields. The candidate must have a background in immunology and genetics research and commensurate clinical training and experience. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate is expected to have a successful record of extramural-funded research or to demonstrate the potential to obtain extramural research funding. Candidates should also possess excellent teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Salary Range Assistant Professor: $135,000 - $165,000 Associate Professor: $165,000 - $195,000 Professor: $195,000 - $250,000 |
