DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for various security and support tasks. Your duties will include managing desk operations as assigned, overseeing the surveillance camera system, and conducting regular patrols of the premises both by vehicle and on foot. This involves inspecting buildings, grounds, parking lots, and storage areas to deter theft, trespassing, and violations of fire and safety regulations. You will also provide assistance to visitors, residents, and staff by answering phone calls and offering directions and information. It is essential to prevent unauthorized individuals from lingering on the property or accessing restricted areas.
You will be required to complete designated patrols, ensuring that door locks for offices, storage, laundry, maintenance, and garage areas are secure, while also managing lighting as needed and locking down all buildings after hours. Documenting your observations and actions through daily reports at the end of your shift is crucial. Additionally, you will conduct investigations by collecting evidence and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects. For emergency repairs and snow, ice, or debris removal, you will contact the facility Maintenance Manager after hours, including weekends and holidays.
Your responsibilities may also extend to participating in fire drills and safety inspections of assigned buildings, as well as checking fire extinguishers. As needed, you will transport residents to local hospitals and doctor appointments, deliver deposits to the bank, and handle lab samples or resident information sheets. You may also be tasked with making special mail runs, delivering medications and supplies between buildings, and conducting accurate inventories of deceased residents' personal belongings. Furthermore, you will take photos of new residents and employees to issue ID badges.
All tasks must be performed in accordance with DMVA general safety rules and specific safety protocols for this position. It is imperative to report any workplace injuries or incidents to your supervisor immediately and to address any safety hazards in your work area. You will also be responsible for conducting searches of vehicles and personal property when suspicious circumstances arise, as well as assisting nursing staff in locating and returning missing residents. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- 3rd Shift: 11:30PM - 7:30AM, Thursday - Monday, with 30-minute lunch.
- OFF every Tuesday and Wednesday
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
- You must to be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
