Duties, Responsibilities & Other Job Summary: The Designer V (DT V) position is the fifth level in the Designer career track. This career track is tasked with providing designs for utility systems including but not limited to: Overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and commercial, industrial and residential development and gas and generations systems. This track is also responsible for field data collection and assists with storm restoration when requested. This role involves handling assigned design projects, permit documentation and providing support to others for assigned projects with independence. The DT V will directly communicate with clients/customers and construction crews to progress their projects. This position primarily involves working in an office environment. There is an expectation of significant field work, which may include exposure to inclement weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, high humidity, rain, snow and icy conditions. Your key responsibilities include:
This role will maintain a high level of understanding of client standards, processes and regulatory guidelines, as needed, for assigned projects and will answer questions of peers and less experienced design techs. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent, and eight years relevant work experience, or an Associate's Degree and five years of distribution design- related work experience Valid driver's license required. | |||||||||
