Job Summary: There is an expected full-time opportunity for a molecular biologist to join the Technology Evaluation and Development Laboratory (TED) under the direction of Dr. Jarod Rollins, as a Research Assistant I-II. You will have a major impact on meeting the objectives of the laboratory in supporting JAX faculty and external research collaborators developing and validating new genome-edited mouse models in both basic and preclinical research areas and the application of new targeting approaches to cultured tumor lines and mouse embryonic stem cells. You will be detail oriented, possess excellent computer skills and are familiar with relevant institutional databases. You will possess demonstrated abilities in various molecular biology techniques for genomic and gene expression profiling. You will be working under the direction of a direct supervisor as part of a larger team, but will be responsible for conducting experiments, data collection and analysis, and effectively presenting and communicating this information to internal and external stakeholders. You will be working a regular schedule on the Bar Harbor campus, but research demands, or laboratory operations may include occasional weekend or evening tasks. Education Preferred: A bachelor's or master's degree in a biological field Experience Preferred: 1-2 years laboratory experience Pay Range: $18.59 - $29.51 per hour, based upon experience.
