Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Engineer
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Engineer in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will get to provide systems analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects.
Job Description:
- Work within a multi-discipline, multi-source/industry team
- Provide technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA's Counter- Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate
- Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities

Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 7+ years of experience.
- Must have expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, and object classification.
- Must have expertise in electronic protection.
- Must have systems engineering analysis and process management to include development and review of engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules.
- Must have experience in Technical performance assessments, Risk analysis and mitigation development.
- Must have experience with Electronic attack/protection simulation modeling development to support analysis and requirements development.
- Must have experience in developing technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices.
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, preferred.
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes, preferred.
- Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals to include radar limitations, preferred.
- Knowledge of Electro-Optics fundamentals, preferred.
- Knowledge of radar hardware and design, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
