Work Location: 324 North Fourth Street Indiana, Pa 15701 Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department) Performs various administrative and clerical duties in support of the bank's operations function, as well as various balancing duties with respect to systems and/or application reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assumes direct responsibility for performing all of the following duties at a fully functional level:
1. Balances and processes transactions to the General Ledger for all accounts relative to Time Deposits and IRA's to include Online Dollar, T-Bill, CD Clearing, Sundry, CD Control, IRA Federal Tax Withheld, and Proof Differences. 2. Reconcile all internal DDA accounts using the Automated Recon System, to include maintenance and posting transactions. 3. Balances and processes transactions to the Pennsylvania & Ohio IOLTA Clearing account. 4. Monitors the Pennsylvania & Ohio IOLTA accounts for overdrafts on a daily basis. Performs overdraft reporting to the Pennsylvania & Ohio IOLTA Board as necessary. 5. Performs all necessary verification and maintenance for Time Deposit accounts and IRA accounts. 6. Assists with all aspects of year-end reporting for retirement accounts. 7. Reconciles IRA Federal Tax Withheld on a daily basis to ensure accuracy between the general ledger, retirement system reporting, taxes previously paid to the IRS and tax withheld due to the IRS. 8. Assist with filing corrections and amend IRA tax forms as necessary. 9. Provides telephone support in reference to Time Deposits, IRA's and Recon. 10. Assists in training branch personnel to handle Retirement, Time Deposit and Recon issues. 11. Assists with maintaining procedures for the department. 12. Performs Deposit Rate changes as requested by Finance. 13. Commits deposit documentation in Optima. 14. Opens, Closes and processes transactions of DESA accounts. 15. Completes SSA and Accuity exceptions. 16. Research errors in tax reporting and completes 1099 corrections in IBS Insight, IRS Government Reporting system when requested and initiates the mailing of a corrected 1099 to the customer. 17. Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization. 18. Performs additional duties as required. Education Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education. Experience Two to five years specialized experience, specifically bank operations experience. Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device, operates office equipment. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows. Sitting is required 99% of the day. Utilizes manual dexterity skills for typing, filing, and data entry on a frequent basis, up to 75% of the business day. Possess the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 75% of the business day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, stand, walk, and reach with hand and/or arm throughout the business day.
