Demonstrates advanced knowledge and clinical judgement pertaining to the design, evaluation, and standards of exercise testing. Demonstrates extensive and advanced understanding of cardiopulmonary physiology, exercise metabolism and ECG presentations. Able to recognize clinical instability, arrythmias, evidence of ischemia, hemodynamic disturbances.
Functions as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team directing, coordinating, and providing special expertise to staff, patients, and families undergoing stress testing.
-Responsible for screening, performing and interpretation of Non-imaging stress testing under medical supervision.
-Conduct stress tests, using electrocardiograph (EKG) machines.
-Assists team performing nuclear exercise and pharmacological stress testing, Nuclear Medicine SPECT and PET/CT and MRI.
-Explain exercise program or physiological testing procedures to participants.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions and EKG to medical supervisor.
-Thoroughly and legibly documents in chart to be reviewed by provider.
-Follows hospital and department procedures and policies.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology required or Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology required or Master's Degree Exercise Physiology preferred

Licenses and Credentials
American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience
- Experience working in an acute care hospital 2-3 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skillfully utilize and maintain specialized equipment, devices and computer program.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of acceptable ranges of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and EKG and reports any abnormal values supervising clinician.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently

Radioactive materials are used in this area. The handling of these materials will be done by qualified nuclear technologists.
