M1 is looking for a Senior Security Architect with the following knowledge and experience:
Job Title: Senior Security Architect - Cloud
Department: IT Operations
Reports To: Director of Information Technology
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Security Architect for Cloud to play a critical role in our company's digital
transformation. This is a hands-on, technical position that will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud
security posture, with a specific focus on migrating our on-premises environment to Azure Government Cloud (GCC High).
Key Responsibilities:
* Cloud Migration Leadership: Lead and guide the on premises to Azure GCC High migration project, ensuring a secure
and seamless transition with the help of professional services.
* CMMC 2.0 Compliance: Establish and maintain CMMC 2.0 compliance across all systems and processes.
* Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Develop and implement a robust GRC framework, including policies,
procedures, and controls to mitigate security risks.
* Enterprise Security Framework: Design and architect a comprehensive enterprise security framework encompassing
identity and access management, data protection, threat detection and response, and vulnerability management.
* Security Information and Event Management (SIEM):
o Design and implement a SIEM solution to collect, analyze, and correlate security logs from various sources.
o Lay the foundation for a robust Security Operations Center (SOC) to effectively monitor and respond to
security incidents.
* Cloud Security Engineering:
o Mentor and guide engineers on cloud security best practices and technologies.
o Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Implement a framework for Identity management that works within a GCCH environment. (Okta)
* DevOps Practices:
o Establish and promote DevOps practices for cloud deployments, including continuous integration/continuous
delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
* Microservices Architecture:
o Guide the transition from traditional web services to a microservices architecture, ensuring security
considerations are integrated throughout the process.
* Data Lake Architecture:
o Design and architect a secure and scalable data lake to support data analytics and business intelligence
initiatives.
o Enable predictive analytics capabilities by leveraging the data lake and advanced analytics tools.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on cloud security (Azure preferred).
* Proven experience with CMMC 2.0 compliance frameworks, or any other compliance frameworks
* Hands-on experience with cloud security technologies (e.g., IAM, encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
* Strong understanding of networking protocols, virtualization technologies, and willingness to learn and implement
containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Strong vendor management skills
* Organized security too vetting and management.
* Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards.
Bonus Points:
* Experience with Azure Government Cloud (GCC High).
* Certifications in cloud security (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty).
* Experience with SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
* Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
In addition, the candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:
Desired Skills:
* Experience with Azure Government Cloud (GCC High).
* Certifications in cloud security (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty).
* Experience with SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
* Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

* Familiarity with writing CI/CD scripts
* Military experience a plus - Candidates must be able to pass a background check to obtain DoD Security
clearance
