Scrum Master

The Opportunity:

As a Scrum Master, you're passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that's modernizing mission-critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need a Scrum Master like you to create solutions that'll will transform tax processing for business entities and organizations.

On our team, you'll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You'll apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like Jira you'll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish PI Planning sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

In this role, you'll directly impact our nation's financial infrastructure by working closely with development teams. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in Agile and software delivery.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master working on an Agile program

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release execution up to deployment

  • Knowledge of Agile delivery practices and principles

  • Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment with government clients in a Scrum team environment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Certified Scrum Master Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) processes and procedures

  • Ability to work with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence to track and report on progress

  • IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI)

  • Scaled Agile Practitioner Certification

Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
