During our 10-week internship program, you will gain meaningful work experience and exposure to the nation's leading health care company, while learning what a career at UnitedHealth Group will have in store for you. A Corporate Services Internship provides exposure to and experience working on projects related to supplier risk; environmental sustainability; procurement operations; and reporting, analytics, and data. Projects will include some aspects of the following: process analysis and improvement, documentation, data analysis, standardization, market analysis, current supplier performance and industry best practices. You'll be empowered to build relationships, drive innovation across the business, and share in a growth mindset. In addition, you'll have access to training and curriculum to provide you with foundational knowledge. These Corporate Services internships may lead to full-time employment in a 24-month Rotational Development Program within the Enterprise Procurement team upon graduation. You will also be invited to experience our Minnesota Headquarters, which enhances networking and development. The goal of our internship is to put people first and stay true to our mission - helping people live healthier lives and helping the health system work better for everyone.

*This is a Full-Time summer internship position working 40 standard business working hours Monday-Friday from June 3, 2025 - August 8, 2025*

** This is an in-person position in Eden Prairie, MN, where you will need to be in the office 5 days of the week.**

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Recommend solutions based upon data analysis to increase efficiency and/or improve business processes
  • Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience and leaders
  • Analyze reporting related to the development and performance of products, processes, and technologies
  • Assist teams with various research projects pertaining to multiple content areas or business needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams within Corporate Services to support strategic business initiatives
  • Facilitate and drive cost reductions and value maximization opportunities for UHG businesses through supplier analysis and assessment of current spend and performance
  • Provide explanation and information to others on process improvement initiatives
  • Collect relevant information by pulling and analyzing data from multiple systems
  • Support team members with managing the development of products
  • Support team members with the planning, organization, and completion of ad hoc projects
  • Learn various areas within Corporate Services, work on improvement opportunities associated with supplier risk and procurement operations

Required Qualifications:



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in the areas of business, finance, supply chain, analytics, or other related field of study
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university during the internship; internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization; F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered; H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Must be able to work full-time summer internship from June 3, 2025 - August 8, 2025 in Eden Prairie, MN



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience managing multiple projects / priorities, workload prioritization
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven excellent analytical skills



The hourly range for this role is $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
