DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your position requires a deep understanding of veterinary medicine. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the rules and regulations are implemented effectively. You will be tasked with making well-informed decisions that have a significant impact on the well-being of the horses Your expertise in veterinary medicine is essential in ensuring that the health and condition of the horses are carefully monitored and maintained. Additionally, you are responsible for addressing any regulatory issues that may arise and ensuring that all rules and regulations are followed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Part-time (per diem) employment.
  • Work schedule may vary and is vendor controlled and determined by the racing schedule.
  • Salary: This position is per diem; the daily rate of pay is $400.00.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor program.

Special Requirement:
  • Possession of a valid license to practice veterinary medicine as issued by a State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.

Post Employment Requirement:
  • If the employee is not licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania, he/she must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within twelve (12) months of being hired.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
