The purpose of this position is to support the needs of manufacturing and provide maintenance support to the building facilities so that production can meet their goals. Work with Plant Engineer on manufacturing quality, productivity, and equipment consistency for new and existing installations. Ensure all PLCs are kept current and modify programs as required to support changes to equipment as needed. Write new programs where needed to support any changes to the business need.

Specific schedule TBD but must be flexible for maintenance coverage

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.




  • Install new equipment as required
  • Maintain plant equipment (extruders and industrial manufacturing equipment)
  • Sustain production equipment and make adjustments as necessary
  • Repair plant equipment, changing, or making modifications
  • General building repair
  • Work with Plant Engineer on design of detailed projects
  • Be an active member of the ERT team
  • Work with contractors/vendors when applicable
  • Must be able to travel for source inspections or training if required
  • Electronics including PLC operations, programming, wiring of 24-volt circuits, sensors, etc.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have electrical and three (3) years maintenance experience with industrial equipment / equipment installations / equipment modifications.
  • Must have experience in electric repairs on existing motors, switches, etc.
  • Must have experience with conduit and wire installation
  • Must have working knowledge and comprehension of equipment blueprints, good mathematical skills, and be able to read and understand equipment diagrams.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Have at least an Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications, and/or a post-secondary technical

    degree
  • Have at least formal training in or at least one (1) year of work experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls
